Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend the BROTECT AirGlass glass screen protector in a pack of 3: tempered glass with 9H hardness, very thin and light, and a good fit for the Galaxy A57 5G's flat display.
The Galaxy A57 5G has a flat front display, so a thin glass protector sits flush across the whole surface without lifting at the edges.
- 9H hardness against everyday scratches, for example from keys or coins
- High transparency keeps the picture sharp
- Oleophobic coating, so fingerprints wipe off easily
- Also available as a single piece, in a pack of 6 or as a version with camera protection
For everyday drops and scratches, protective glass is the sturdier choice. A film is thinner and more flexible and suits lighter use.
Both materials are available for the Galaxy A57 5G:
- Protective glass (e.g. BROTECT AirGlass, upscreen Hybrid Glass): 9H hardness, rigid, absorbs part of the impact energy if the phone is dropped.
- Protective film (e.g. BROTECT screen protector film, upscreen Scratch Shield): very thin and flexible, reliably guards against scratches and dirt, but offers less drop protection.
As a smartphone is always on the move and gets dropped now and then, glass is usually the better choice. Both materials also come in a matte finish that reduces reflections.
Clean the display thoroughly, remove any dust, line the protector up with the display edges and smooth out air from the centre to the edges with a soft cloth.
- Work in an environment that is as dust-free as possible.
- Clean the display first with a damp cloth, then with a dry, lint-free one.
- Lift off any remaining dust particles with a strip of adhesive tape.
- Peel the protector off its backing without touching the adhesive side.
- Align it with the edges, lay it down and smooth out the air from the centre outwards.
With multipacks you have a spare in case an attempt doesn't work out.
Generally, yes. The thin glass protectors and films sit flat on the display surface and can be combined with most cases.
Because the glass protectors and films are very thin, they normally don't get in the way of standard cases. Cases with a particularly high or inward-curving rim can, however, press on the edges – in that case, fit the case carefully and check the protector is still seated properly.
If you also want to protect the camera lenses, there are versions with camera protection or a separate camera protector for the back.
Yes. Privacy films such as BROTECT Privacy or upscreen Spy Shield make the display look dark to people beside you, while it stays easy to read from the front.
Looking straight at the display, you see everything as usual. From the side, the screen appears dark – handy on the bus, train or in a waiting room, for example when banking online or reading messages.
- Also reduces blue light by around 35 to 60 per cent
- Scratch-resistant surface
- Silicone adhesive layer for bubble-free application, removable without residue
The privacy filter also makes the display look slightly darker from the front. Turning the brightness up a little compensates for this.
The ScreenLeaf Clear screen protector is a film: thin, flexible and reliably scratch-resistant. For extra drop protection, tempered glass is the better choice.
Tempered glass is more rigid and usually offers better protection against impacts and drops, while films like ScreenLeaf Clear reliably reduce everyday scratches and abrasion.
If you want a very thin, flexible solution with precise touch response, ScreenLeaf Clear is a great fit; if drop risk is a bigger concern, it's worth also considering tempered glass.
Clean the display thoroughly, work in a dust-free environment, and apply the film slowly, pressing air out from the center towards the edges.
Start by cleaning the display thoroughly and working in as dust-free an environment as possible, so no particles get trapped under the film.
Peel off the liner and apply ScreenLeaf Clear slowly from one edge, pressing air outwards from the center as you go.
